ARC. MIKE OZIEGBE ONOLEMEMEN bags a national award – Commander of the order of Niger (CON)

The Nigeria’s minister of Works, Arc Mike Oziegbe Onolemenmen, would never cease to bask in the excitement that greets him whenever he is acknowledged and given accolades over his solid performances at the Federal Ministry of Works. For a professional who is well trained and given the opportunity to prove his worth, there is no way high performance and states-craft would not seem to be his second nature.

And for such a result-oriented public office holder, the discerning public are always attracted to him, hence the tendency to honour him with crowns. In recent times, the Works minister has receive meritorious awards and glowing tributes from an appreciating public, far and wide, which are numerous and cannot be all mentioned, herein.

Verily, when the Federal Government of Nigeria, his home country, to which he currently serves as minister, gave him a national award of the Commander of Nigeria (CON), it was a precious award well deserved and priceless than the numerous awards that had been bestowed on him, in torrents. Onolemenmen had joined 305 Nigerians and friends of Nigeria who got the 2014 stanza of the national event, which comes under eight different categories.

With this prestigious CON national award, Mike Onolemenmen, a professional architect and distinguished administrator, joined his compatriot awardees with the impetus to do more of such selfless sacrifices, for the enhancement of Nigerians, in his assigned works ministry and other areas that may call for it. There is hardly anything as gratifying than a call to serve one’s nation and humanity in general.

Onolememe, Also Honoured at Home

In the same Uromi home-town of Esan North East Local Government of Edo State, where the political chess master, Chief Anthony Anenih, hails from Onolememen is also well respected. Apart from the goodwill of Chief Anenih, his senior and leader, the influence of the minister of Works is said to have added up to the recent establishment of the National Institute of Construction Technology (NICT) for Edo State, at the Onewa suburb of Uromi.

The institution, being the first of its kinds in the country and the only visible tertiary educational institution in the urban community, has definitely set Uromi on equal footing with some other old towns in Nigeria. Onolememen, who is erudite and cool-headed, is said to be another leader from Edo State, that has the sagacity of Chief Anenih, a.k.a. the Leader.

Warm and Large Reception for the Works Minister

As a man who is adored by his people at Uromi, Edo State and beyond, the reception for Mike Onolememen was done in elegance and joy by a large crowd that graced the venue in Abuja.
